Humble Beginnings....
Soul Good in 2018, was born out of a simple, heartfelt mission to feed the hungry. What started
as a humble Feeding Ministry, called the LEAST of THESE, quickly grew into a lifeline, serving more than 80 souls four nights a week. Rooted in a home garden and sustained by the pure generosity of our community—who stepped up with donations of beans, rice, and basic hygiene essentials—we set out to bring comfort where it was needed most.
With our "PULL UP" initiative, we took that love directly to the streets. Driving into the heart of Tulare's Tent Cities, we met our neighbors exactly where they were. We gathered to serve Chef's splendid Chunky Vegetable Soups, comforting Garden Vegetable Spaghetti, warm Bean and Rice Burritos, and vibrant vegetable stir-fries. For so many facing the heartbreaking uncertainty of where their next meal would come from, these dishes were more than just food—they were a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
From those very first nights in the garden, nourishing both the body and the spirit has been the heartbeat of Soul Good. We believe that food made with deep love and real nutrition heals from the inside out. That beautiful purpose is exactly what makes our flavor the difference you crave!

Soul Good's Community Partnerships
Through every season, Soul Good poured its heart into feeding the community, branching out into new and powerful ways to uplift those around them. Driven by a deep love for their fellow man, they united with EQ Solutions and other passionate local non-profits in Tulare. This wasn't about hand-outs—it was about linking arms to offer a genuine hand up, guiding neighbors toward the dignity of self-sufficiency. The community felt this love deeply. Every time they gathered for a fundraising event featuring Chef Rocc's Menu, the air was filled with pure joy. Neighbors gave generously, knowing with absolute certainty that every single dollar would directly transform a life, providing meals & resources or the vital work and life skills needed to build a brighter future.
Out of this beautiful mission, Chow Time was born. More than just a concession stand, this vibrant spot—bursting with fresh juices, sweet cotton candy, icy slushies, nachos, hot dogs, and personal pizzas—became a sanctuary of hope. It was created as a nurturing training ground where youth and young adults are lovingly mentored, discovering their own potential and learning exactly what it takes to run a business.

Humanitarian Efforts
When a sudden medical crisis tore Q away from the heart of Soul Good, the entire movement took a pause. But love doesn’t fade in the dark—it fights back. The community rallied, returning stronger and more determined than ever to protect their own by founding a vital neighborhood food bank.
Then, the world changed overnight. A global pandemic hit, and absolute crisis mode set in. Refusing to let fear win, Erocc and Q stepped directly into the storm. Every single Friday, alongside a dedicated circle of family and friends, they lifted the heavy burdens of their community—quite literally—by hauling over 1,500 pounds of food from the FoodLink distribution center. They transformed their own front yard into a sanctuary of hope, a place where no one had to feel forgotten.

Nutrition and Humanitarian Outreach
They knew that raw ingredients were only half the battle during hard times. To truly comfort their neighbors, they tucked handwritten guides into the boxes, sharing the secrets of how to turn basic staple items into nourishing, warm meals. Taking it a step further, Chef Rocc and a team of beautiful souls poured their hearts into cooking fresh meals using those exact same ingredients. As neighbors walked up, they weren't just met with boxes of fresh produce; they were welcomed with the comforting aroma of a hot meal made just for them, served with a side of dignity and a smile.
By the second year, this labor of love grew into something even more sacred: a bread ministry. Twice a week, hundreds of loaves of bread and packages of tortillas were placed into the hands of anyone who needed them. What started as a response to tragedy became a lifeline of pure grace, proving that even in our darkest hours, we have the power to feed, heal, and lift each other up.

Partnering with the likeminded
as the Soul Good Ministry outreaches transformed and morphed to the predictable next stage of assisting our neighborhoods, the Question Kept being asked, Do You have a Restaurant? or Why don't you have a restaurant? and the Kicker... Why aren't we making money with your Food?
Soul Good Saturday's was Born......
Saturdays for Lunch we would tent up and sell plates as fundraisers and skills building for the youth in our community and eventually sell our plates to profit and invest into the proper tools we needed to be legit permitted for the Season of Pop- Up Events. Our Catering Menu came from this same season as we started to develop our menu for a brick and mortar in the future. Rockin' Horse Saloon, on Tulare Ave in Tulare, CA invited Soul Good to pop up every weekend to offer our food to their clientel.....

Thoughts of the Future as the World slowed down
We never actually planned on opening a brick-and-mortar right away. When the world shifted into the "OUTSIDE ERA," we knew we had to follow. We poured our hearts and savings into catering equipment, pop-up tents, an upgraded double tent and then a glorified tent trailer, and supplies, throwing ourselves completely into becoming vendors.
Looking back, that leap of faith was a total go! It was so cool to have a SCHEDULe of events that our Customers could find us at.
Before we knew it, Soul Good grew into something so much bigger than a food gig—it became your ultimate one-stop event shop. We were bringing the vibe with Slap Dat DJ, crafting beautiful spaces with EQ Solutions Design and Custom Party Details, serving up comfort with Soul Good Food, and hosting memories in our backyard venue. We were doing it all, driven by pure passion.
We even picked up Personal Pizza Party gigs and Meal Prep Clients. is there anything Chef Rocc Can't DO!!

Closer to the Magic
Our community lifted us up when we needed it most. Our friends at The Rockin Horse Saloon on Tulare Ave opened their doors and invited us to sell our food at their bar. That spark started a fire. Soon after, another local favorite, Kaweah Brewery, welcomed us in. Then we hit the pavement on the CDCR Circuit, sharing our food with the hard-working staff.
For two incredible, exhausting, and rewarding years, we poured everything into building our brand across our community, traveling as far as Avenal. The love we received was overwhelming, and soon, our amazing customers started demanding a way to eat our food during the week. That’s when the universe answered. Because of your incredible support, 216 S. K Street practically landed right in our laps. We are so incredibly grateful for this journey and can't wait for what's next.
